OUR PHILOSOPHY
Inclusive Care Approach
We prioritize a non-paternalistic, collaborative approach, where patients are educated and supported in making informed decisions about their care. By fostering an open and respectful dialogue, we aim to guide individuals through life's challenges—whether navigating transitions, addressing mental health concerns, or exploring deeper emotional or psychological barriers.
Our goal is to help you gain control over your mental and emotional well-being by offering a safe, affirming space where you can explore, reflect, and grow. We are committed to supporting people from all walks of life, with expertise in working with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, as well as pregnant, peripartum, and perimenopausal individuals.
Whether you're overcoming obstacles, embracing change, or healing in a way that aligns with your values and identities, we are here to walk alongside you on your journey.

MEDICATION MANAGEMENT
One of the primary differences between a psychiatrist and a psychologist or therapist is medication management. Psychiatrists are medical doctors (MDs or DOs) trained to diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medications when appropriate.
During an appointment with a psychiatrist, you can expect a comprehensive approach that includes both medication management—addressing potential neurotransmitter imbalances—and psychotherapy, also known as talk therapy.
In addition to considering prescription medications, Beaubian-Espinoza Psychiatry also takes into account supplements, lifestyle habits, nutrition, and sleep patterns that may be affecting your mental and physical well-being.
Importantly, medication is not a requirement when working with a psychiatrist. In some cases, the most effective treatment plan may involve reducing or discontinuing certain medications and focusing more on psychotherapy and holistic strategies.
